Uthana Mission

is a Parish-based outreach to poor and destitute people in Kolkata, India

The Mission:

• feeds many people with a warm cooked, balanced meal 365 days of the year.
• sponsors young women from deprived backgrounds to undertake teacher training
• supports a school for tribal children in a village outside Kolkata.

The support and prayers from St. Josephs Parish has seen the successful establishment of this outreach.
