What is Baroque ? Baroque is grandeur, vitality, sensuous richness, drama, tension, emotional exuberance… all exemplified by Bach’s jubilant Brandenburg Concertos (widely regarded as amongst the finest musical composition of the Baroque era), and his Lutheran Mass in G Major, with its lovely meditative fugue.
